When Authentication Matters

If you look up the word authentication in the dictionary, you'll find it means "the process or action of proving or showing something to be true, genuine or valid."

A few things that you might want authenticated come to mind---jewelry, antiques, social media accounts and of course, memorabilia.

That need to verify a memorabilia brings us to our next online auction item. With the help of one of our athletic alums, Mr. Troy Williams, Director of Community Baseball Programs for the Chicago White Sox, SimeonNation has secured an autographed baseball from center field slugger, Luis Roberts Jr.

Although Luis has been sidelined since August 2025 due to injury, here are his current stats:

• At-Bats (AB): 382

• Stolen Bases (SB): 26

Thanks to the White Sox Authentication program at https://www.mlb.com/official-information/authentication you can rest assured this ball is the real deal. Just look for the hologram sticker on the baseball and verify it directly through their site.
